Brita Pitcher- FREE + $6.00

I want to take a moment to share with you my love for couponing.  This started, oh I would say about a month or two ago, and it has progressed ever since.  Some might call me poor or cheap, but I would say that I am tight with money!  I mean, who wouldn't want to save money on things they buy on a regular basis?  In the past month, I have literally had one big shopping trip at Bi-Lo.  This means that I buy things here and there on a regular basis.  But, it is definitely worth it.  I have come to love CVS, Bi-Lo, Walmart(for the most part-ours in Greenwood is struggling) and my favorite of all Rite Aid!

I frequently visit blogs such as www.thekrazycouponlady.com, www.southernsavers.com, and www.iheartriteaid.com.

These blogs show the deals for different stores and the coupon matchups for each item.  It also addresses the deals that are must haves!  It makes things easier for me, since I literally do not have the time or patience to match up the items and coupons myself.

Yesterday, on the KCL blog, they blogged about a Brita Pitcher at Wal-Mart.  I have wanted to purchase a Brita Pitcher for the longest time, because I drink water all of the time!  Since these are pretty expensive (at least to me) I have been getting by with just plain tap water.  Well, yesterday I found the post.  Wal-Mart has a 5 cup Brita Pitcher for only $8.97, you can find a $5.00/1 Coupon on www.filterforgood.com and that means you can get a Brita Pitcher for ONLY $3.97.  If that is not good enough to start with, Brita is running a "promotion" for a $10 Mail-in-Rebate! What does this mean?  It means you pay only $3.97 out of pocket and in about 8-10 weeks, you will receive a check for $10... SO you get the Brita Pitcher for FREE + $6.03.

Is this amazing or what?  I LOVE couponing!

Fall Shows

Its that time again.. time when all of the GREAT falls shows begin to air!  I think almost all of the shows have premiered and I could not be any more excited.  I consider myself a TV junkie and that is because I watch SO many shows! Here's a list of all the shows that you can find me watching this fall:

-Desperate Housewives (the FINAL season)
-Sister Wives
-Dancing with the Stars
-Kendra
-Glee
-The Middle
-Grey's Anatomy
-Jersey Shore

I'm sure there is a show or two that I forgot to mention, but you can tell that I LOVE my shows.. and just so you know I do not actually watch all of these as they come on but thanks to my lovely DVR they are always on my TV for when I get the chance to watch them!

A few comments to make- I cannot believe that this is the final season of Desperate Housewives.  After the first episode, I was speechless.  There is so.so.much going on already!  Kendra was amazing.  One of the main reasons why I watch her show is because she never fails to put a smile on my face (she is hilarious).  Also, Rob Kardashian is my fav on Dancing with the Stars.  I think he is amazing and in case he ever reads this I want him to know that I watch the show just for him (ha ha ha).

What shows have y'all been interested in? Who is your favorite on Dancing with the Stars?

Rain Rain Go Away!

Hello dolls!  I have not blogged in a while, so I figured this is the perfect day, since it's raining and all... :) Yesterday was Monday and i had THE best day!  I am not a fan of mondays, I actually used to HATE them and they used to leave me with a painful headache at the end of the day.  But, yesterday was not like that at all.

I'm such a reality show freak and I LOVE the bachelor/bachelorette... every season... every show I watch... well last night was the Bachelor Finale for Brad's season and i'll get to that in a moment...

I had a great Zumba class last night.. I sweated like crazy and I loved it.  There was a new instructor who did the first three songs because she had just received her certification... I was not sure how much I would like her since I knew it would be new dances and I do not like change!  But, I did like her.. She worked our legs and by the end of the class I knew I would be sore today.... but i'm not.. YAY! Anyways, Zumba was fantastic yesterday! I wish I could go to Zumba everyday!!

After Zumba, I went with my friend, Ashley Bonds, to Lander University to help her find her advisors' office.  I love Lander and I always will.  I spent four years working and attending classes at the University and it will always hold a special place in my heart.  The four best years of my life...so far :)... have been spent at Lander.  They have the best instructors/staff/students that anyone could want in a school... SO, walking through the halls reminded me how much I missed it... if only I could go back.  I did tease my mom the other day saying I was going to become a full time student.. even though that would get pretty pricy ;)

After reliving my College years, I had a wonderful dinner of crock-pot-BBQ!! YUMMMY!! I kind of just threw in some pork tenderloin and some BBQ sauce and let it go ALL day... it turned out so good!

After dinner I went to my sisters house to visit and to fill out or forms for the Steve Spurrier Women's Football Clinic that is in April.... I don't really know what to expect but I'm SO excited... Apparently Steve Spurrier along with some staff and their families and some football players will be at the Clinic... Maybe i'll find my future hubby there... HA I can dream right?!

After submitting the forms, I came home to watch none other than... The Bachelor... Ahhh I had been waiting for the Finale since the first time I saw the first episode... I was an Emily fan all along, but I was kind of routing for Chantel because I knew that the person I always wanted to win never did... but MY GIRL won!  Not only is Emily sweet and a fantastic mother, she is also from North Carolina.... a carolina girl! Can't get any better than that!  I was so excited about the outcome of the show and it just topped off a great day for me.

I know you all wanted to hear about my Monday, but I figured it was so great, why wouldn't I want to share? I hope you all have a great day and i'll write soon :)

happy as can be!

Hello lovelies!  I have had a lot of things happen lately, some good...some not some much.  Let me start off by saying that this past tuesday marked the one year mark of my precious grandmother going home to be with the Lord.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and I miss her everyday.  This has been such a hard experience for our whole family, especially since we have never experienced something like it before now.  Thankfully, we have an awesome family, who supports one another, and an awesome Grandpa who keeps his head up even when I know its hard.

With some other news... I am so beyond excited/relieved that my daddy has taken a new job opportuinity which will bring my mom and him back south!! We have been waiting for this moment ever since they first moved to Kansas.  Although my parents have some great friends in Kansas, as well as me having a heartfelt connection with my parents neighbors across the street, I am SO ready for them to be back where they belong(and thats where I am, of course).  Really, I am looking forward to my parents moving back because I have missed them so so much.

And with that said... my daddy is coming to visit for the weekend.  He will be here tomorrow, and I can't wait!  He has been in Georgia all week for work, so he is coming on up(or over) to Greenwood to visit....I love it when my parents can visit and even though my mom wont be here, my dad will be great company and I can't wait.

On a side note, I decided to switch from cable to dish network.  I am excited about this because I will finally be able to watch my shows on E! again.... I know that its pretty pitiful that I am excited about it, but I really have missed my month of watching Keeping up with the Kardashians and Holly's world, and all the other super awesome "girl" shows! Along with my E! channel, and ABCFamily, I will be getting DVR! Thank you Lord.... I need to be able to film my shows since I have missed more than I should have in the two or three weeks i've been at my apartment.

Hope you all have a great weekend... XOXO

the beginning of a new chapter...

I have officially started a new chapter of my life.  I am now completely independent, living on my own.  I am an apartment renter and I am loving every minute of it, so far.  People have told me that I will get lonely and that I won't like it, but I am determined to love it and I know that I will!  I love doing what I want, when I want.  I love going to bed early and lounging around all day.  And of course, I love having some of my close friends and family over whenever possible.  On a side note, I went to Bath and Body Works last night and bought a wallflower scent.  For those of you who don't know what that is, it is a scented plug in for the wall for your home.  What scent did I choose?!  Pumpkin, of course.  My apartment smells WONDERFUL and it puts me in the fall/thanksgiving holiday spirit! Last week was a rough one for me, as some of you might know.  But, so far I am starting off this week on a positive note and things seem to be looking up for me!  I hope you enjoy my little tid bits of information that I like sharing with you.  I will be back soon.

such a dreary day...

This is officially my first "blog" so please bare with me.  Fall began this past Thursday, on my brother's birthday.  It was such a great day.  Although the weather was not "fall" like, the highs were in the 90's, I endulged myself into a cup of a pumpkin spice latte!  My all-time favorite drink of fall... Fall was not in the air, so to speak, but I was definitely living it up to the best of my abilities.  Today though, is a different story.  It began raining yesterday morning and has not stopped since.  Temperatures are in the 60s-70s and fall is definitely here! This is my favorite time of the year, so I try to embrace the fall air as much as I can.  On saturday I spent my day relaxing and baking pumpkin spice cookies.  There is just something about fall and pumpkins that make me a happy girl. The rain is supposed to continue throughout the day but it is then supposed to sizzle out and tomorrow the forecast is partly cloudy with highs in the 70's.  Fall is here in the South and I could not be anymore happier!  Let's just hope the cooler air stays and the high temperatures in the 90's stay away.  Enough of my rambling on and on about how much I love Fall...more blogs are soon to come.
xoxo
