I am a proud fiance, Dog Momma, Accountant, and Fitness Coach.
My fiance, Josh and I, are getting married January 24, 2015. We've been in love over 2 years and have been engaged over 1 year. Our DREAM Winter Wedding is coming up soon and I couldn't be more excited about starting this new chapter of our lives!
Josh and I are proud parents of TWO of the sweetest (Ha, who am I kidding?) dogs in the world!
Sweet Stella B came into my life before I knew Josh at a time when I was lonely and needed a friend. I had always dreamed of having a maltese, so when I found a maltese mix at my local Animal Shelter I was hooked and knew immediately that I was meant to be her Mom! We've been hooked ever since and she's my best friend!
Hudson came into our life this past February (2014). He is a goldendoodle (golden retriever/poodle mix) and is FULL of love and fur! Josh unexpectedly and suddenly had to put down his Siberian Husky, Nich, right after the Holidays. He developed heart disease that was so far along that there wasn't anything left to do. Josh's heart was shattered as to be expected. I had in my mind, that we would be done with dogs after Stella passed away, but Josh had other plans. We began searching for dogs and knew we had to have one that stayed inside (due to our small townhome and no outside space) and I couldn't take one that shed a lot. Josh wanted a big dog. So, we compromised and found Hudson. He's been the biggest blessing to not only Josh and myself, but to our precious Stella as well. They are best friends.
You can find more about our dogs and their stories on our Puppy Love tab at the top of the blog.
So, now that you know that I have a sweet fiancé, and two adorable dogs, I want to tell you the last interesting thing about myself. I grew up OVERWEIGHT and unhappy and just recently (April 2013) started my journey to better health and fitness! I've lost a total of 40 lbs and am getting to a happy place in my life!
To keep things short and sweet, I grew up eating junk food and whatever I wanted. I loved healthy foods and I loved bad-for-you foods. My parents gave me the childhood I'd imagine dreaming of and with that came whatever I wanted. I was not active at-all, so you can imagine that I did not have the best body AT ALL.
I dreaded going to birthday parties that involved pools and bathing suits. I wanted to cringe at the thought of taking off my cover-up. I wanted to look GOOD, just like the girls my age in string bikinis and rockin' their swimsuits.
I remember getting to a place in my life where I started embracing who I was and what I looked like. That lasted about a year or so and something just SNAPPED. I wanted to take control of my life. I was tired of being the same ole' girl I had always been. I never wanted something so badly before. This same time, I saw a friend of mine from High School posting on FaceBook about taking the "Bombshell Challenge". I knew it was a fitness group, but didn't have a clue other than that. Right away, I messaged her. She gave me the details and told who to contact (Liz, my Coach now). I messaged Liz right away and within the next few days, I ordered my challenge pack and Shakeology. The rest is pretty much history.
I started and FINISHED Insanity (one of the hardest at-home workout programs EVER) and then continued on my fitness and weight loss journey. I'm still working hard at it and I amaze myself daily at how far I've come. I love Beachbody Programs SO MUCH and BELIEVE in them 100% (check out my below Insanity Results!) so I decided to take my journey a step further and in May 2013, I signed up as an Independent Team Beachbody Coach. That means, I get to help people, like you, who want to change their lives through active exercising and healthy/clean eating!
If you want help on your fitness journey, please reach out to me. I'd LOVE to chat with you, if nothing else!
